Elopement or intimate Ceremonies
Eloping has traditionally meant sneaking off and getting married in secret. But you don’t have to ‘sneak off’ or do it in COMPLETE secrecy, it’s up to you. The idea most people have when they thing of elopement is a ‘no frills ceremony’ away from a large group of friends and family. It tends to be a bit more on a whim or spur-of-the-moment and usually focuses on just the two of you.
You don’t ever need to justify your reason for eloping or just simply wanting ‘less people’ at your wedding day. You might not like the limelight or you just want to have a very small and intimate service with a few close loved ones and that is totally okay. My role as a celebrant doesn’t change - it is to share your unique love story with those that are there.
The most important thing you need to know as a couple when it comes to eloping is it can’t be that last minute you decide to do it in one weeks time. Legally, we need to fill in your NOIM atleast 1 month prior to your wedding day and we also need a minimum of 2 people to attend as witnesses (over 18+). So the minimum wedding attendance will have to be 5 - you two love birds, two witnesses and me.

Just the paper work please
Easy done!!! This is obviously is the quickest way to get married without a few trips into the city, waiting in lines and actually getting married at a desk! Atleast you can choose any location you want - beach, cafe, bar!
There may be many reasons people choose this option especially with COVID-19 lingering around. Maybe your wedding plans have already been disrupted and you simply want to be married already! Maybe you were planning an overseas wedding and you need to sign the paperwork here in Australia first?
What ever your reason, I’m here to help and the good news is this can all be done in less then 10 mins if you want it to be.
Legally, we still need to fill in your NOIM atleast 1 month prior to your ‘official day of signing paperwork’. We also need a minimum of 2 people to attend as witnesses (over 18+) but you don’t need to know them so if you want it a surprise to your family, we can find some randoms to help for 10 mins. It’s totally up to you.

Ceremonies with a twist
This is another type of ceremony I’m happy to help with and a bit of a passion point for me as its kind of how I started. Maybe you have a friend(s) who are great at telling stories and you want them to be the one telling your love story on your wedding day.
Don’t worry - I get it, that’s exactly the reason I became a celebrant. I just decided to take it to the next level and study to become a celebrant. But that’s not always an option or an easy one at that. The thing is, if you haven’t conducted a ceremony, you probably don’t know where to start. So I offer a UNIQUE package if you have that friend or friends in mind so depending on your preference of these options, here’s how I can help:
You still want to Legally get married that day but get your friend(s) to conduct the ceremony. I can help your friend(s) write and curate the ceremony for them to read do on the day. I will just step in for the small legal parts (5 mins max) so therefore you are legally married. However you have have the benefit of a close friend telling your love story.
You want your friend(s) to do the ceremony and you’re happy to do the paperwork before or after the ‘actual wedding day’. Don’t need or want me there on the day - no worries (I promise I wont cry about it). This is what we call a commitment ceremony which all feels the same as a ‘traditional day’ but it’s not necessarily legally bounding on that day.
